This is my personal website. I currently work at MeasuringU as their Distinguished User Experience Researcher. From 1981 through 2019 I worked as a human factors engineer and usability practitioner at IBM, and have published influential research on the measurement of perceived usability, use of confidence intervals, and sample size estimation for usability studies. I'm an IBM Master Inventor with over 90 US patents issued to date, a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, a member of the User Experience Professionals Association, and a member and past-president of the Association for Voice Interaction Design.
